Since March 2003, the Charity has
spent some £20,000, to purchase
equipment for use in the Surgeries,
including the following items:
- Pulse Oximeters, used to
measure blood oxygen
levels.
- Automatic Digital Blood
Pressure Meter with stand, used
by patients in the Overton
waiting room.
- Welch Allyn PanOptic Desk
Sets, used to examine ears and
eyes.
- Patients' chairs for the
consulting rooms.
- Digital Blood-pressure
monitors, used to diagnose and
manage raised blood
pressure.
- Audio Dopplex with probe,
used to assess blood
circulation to the legs.
- Fetal Heart Detector, used
to check foetal heart in
pregnancy.
- Brandon Coolview
Examination Lamps, used in the
consulting rooms.
- Porta-Nebulizers, used to
treat acute asthma.
- Mercury-free
Sphygmomanometers, used to
check blood pressure.
- Defibrillator Life pack,
used in cardiac
resuscitation.
- Histofreeze liquid, used to
eliminate warts.
- The charity also pays for
regular servicing and supplies
of consumables for the
equipment it has bought.
