Please phone after 11am for test results and try to avoid Mondays as it is very busy.

Please don?t phone in the morning as people are often trying to make appointments.

Most blood tests come back within 3-7 days. Some more specialist tests take longer. Microbiology tests often need 5-7 days to process.

Radiological tests results take about two weeks to be processed and sent to the surgery. Sometimes this can take longer. It is advisable to phone to make sure the result is back before making an appointment to see the GP.

Receptionists can give basic results over the phone. Often they are only able to give you the GP's succinct comments on the results. GPs can of course discuss the results in further detail.

Due to large numbers of tests it is impossible to contact everybody about their results. As such it is your responsibility to contact us about results.
